PART 1 💻 I’m going for a promotion 😆

Last year I quit my full time job in marketing to go part time and work on my freelance writing business 😬

And whilst that is still the case, I actually took a massive pay cut and a step down to do that! So now I want to move on back up 🤣

I NEED my workspace to look cute and inviting for me to want to work there. If the desk isn’t desking I’m not interested ☝️

So when I came across this keyboard of DREAMS from @logitech it just had to come home with me…plus the matching mouse because we don’t leave any man behind here 💗🐭

So when I came across this keyboard of DREAMS from @logitech it just had to come home with me…plus the matching mouse because we don’t leave any man behind here 💗🐭

Incredible book. Incredible story. Incredible woman. This book is truly inspiring.

From the start I felt like I was on her journey with her. Standing right beside her as she experienced every challenge, heart ache, love, accomplishment, and pitfall.

As a dancer myself from a young age, I immediately felt at home with this book. I could feel the emotion she felt around dance and the fire it evokes inside you. I took me back to my own days in the ballet studio and brought me such a sense of nostalgia and comfort.

From one of my all time favourite films Dirty Dancing, to my all time favourite TV show Gilmore Girls, Kelly Bishop has had a place in my heart since I was a child. I grew up watching her on my television screen, and now, as an adult, reading about her life means I can respect her work even more.

She built her career from the ground up, with a dream and a fire in her belly to succeed, and that’s exactly what she did. Her incredible drive to do what she loves, follow her passion, live, learn, and carry on no matter what, is what makes this book so inspiring.

She says, ‘Aren’t we lucky that there’s such a wide variety of dreams to choose from, and so many people to choose them?’ and it’s that gratitude for life that this book illustrates so beautifully.

I finished this book with a fire inside my belly. To appreciate the little things, look back with gratitude, and look forward with dreams and anticipation to do more.

Thank you Kelly Bishop for this beautiful memoir. I know for sure it will be one I turn to for years to come ❤️

Chapter 27 🎂📖 The most beautiful birthday weekend away with some of my favourite people 🥰

✨ We had a beautiful stay at the @lakesidehotelandspa in the Lake District and it was perfect 🫶🏻

🎂 Free chocolate, dessert, and sparklers 🎇

🧖🏼‍♀️ Of course we had to enjoy the spa

⛰️ A wholesome day of walking up Gummer’s How

📕 I finished The Third Gilmore Girl and it was every bit as good as I thought it would be 🥺

📚 I finally started building my Book Nook from @rolife_official

Turning 27 was an emotional day for me, like all of my birthdays have been for the past couple of years. I get in my head about turning one year older, especially the closer I get to 30!

But spending it like this, with the people I love, makes me realise how lucky I am to get older, and how grateful I am for my life and the people in it 🥰

Sometimes I think I should be further along in life by now. I see everyone around me buying houses, getting engaged and being promoted at work, and here I am living at home, starting my career over and well and truly winging it ✌🏼

But thats OK!! I’m learning not to compare because I’m on my own path and loving the journey 🫶🏻
